For employees in UnitedHealthcare HMO plans
Your UHC ID numbers change on January 1, 2027
UnitedHealthcare is moving SCCSIG's HMO plans to a new policy number, so you'll get a new member ID and group number. A few minutes now avoids surprises at the doctor or pharmacy in January.
What to do
1
Watch for three letters from UnitedHealthcare
A heads-up in early November, a reminder in late November, and your new card in early December.
2
Check the UHC app for your new numbers
Your new ID number, group number and doctor show in the app before January. Confirm your name, dependents and doctor are right.
3
Open your new card when it arrives
Cards are mailed in early December. Check that the details match the app.
4
Give your new numbers to your doctor and pharmacy
Especially if you have an appointment or prescription refill in early January.
